Hospital Insurance helps you cope with the financial impact of a hospitalization, separate from your medical coverage. The benefit is paid directly to you — not a hospital or provider — so you can decide which expenses to cover.
Benefit Details
If you or a covered family member is admitted to the hospital for a covered accident, illness or childbirth, Hospital Insurance through Unum pays a benefit to help cover out-of-pocket expenses.
- The benefit is paid directly to you, not to the hospital or provider.
- Hospital Insurance is compatible with all HealthComp medical plans and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
- You may take the coverage with you if you leave the company or retire.
- Each covered family member can earn $50 for completing certain Be Well preventive screenings.
