Long-Term Care + Life Insurance
This hybrid Life + Long-Term Care benefit provides coverage for in-home and other long-term medical care needs for you, as well as life insurance for added peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
Benefit Details
- Select the coverage that’s right for you and your family.
- Employees under the age of 70 can elect up to $150,000 without answering any health questions during this special open enrollment.
- Employees over the age of 70 are eligible to enroll but are required to go through a simplified underwriting process.
- Once you enroll, premiums are deducted from your paycheck and your premiums will not increase.
- You can use the value of your death benefit to cover eligible long-term care services for you and your covered spouse (following a 90-day elimination period). You can also draw on your life insurance policy each month capped at 6% to cover your qualifying long-term care expenses.
- If you pass away, your beneficiary files a claim and a lump-sum cash benefit is paid directly to your beneficiary.
- Your death benefit can be passed to beneficiary free from state or federal estate taxes.

Who You Can Cover
Yourself | Choose $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000 or $150,000 of coverage. |
Your Spouse | Choose $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 or $75,000 of coverage for a working spouse or $10,000 for a non-working spouse. |
Per-Paycheck Costs
You pay for this benefit through convenient per-payroll deductions, based on who is enrolled (yourself, your spouse), tobacco status and the level of benefit you elect. Rates are available when you enroll through the Allstate Enrollment Center.
